Do you find there are hardly enough hours in the day just for living, let alone housework?

Maybe you feel like you don’t have the motivation or the energy to tackle a big project.

Or is it a case of feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of the task and you don't know where to start?

It’s OK; I totally get you.

Every journey starts with a single step. Decluttering is no different. It starts slowly but once the process is underway, it quickly gains momentum.

My method is simple but effective:

●      One room at a time

●      Take plenty of before shots

●      Work from left to right

●      Clean as I go

●      Take everything away or sell for the client

●      Take after shots and then compare

After the first couple of hours, I find the willingness to chuck gets stronger and faster and then boom, it’s done. I don’t push and once the client starts to trust me it all comes together.

Beware, things always look worse before they get better but the end result is worth the effort. I enjoy this work because I am truly helping people. My clients feel so good about their home when I leave and they love the feeling of freedom and accomplishment that decluttering gives them.

FAQ

Question: What is the difference between cleaning and decluttering?

Answer: Cleaning is removing dirt and dust and tidying up. Decluttering is the removal of unnecessary items that are no longer useful or wanted to clear your space and mind.

Question: How long does decluttering take?

Answer: That’s a really good question. It’s hard to say without seeing the area, however, I can get results in a few hours and my most challenging rooms have been done in a day.

Question: What if I can’t part with my things?

Answer: Nothing goes out unless you say so. I find that once we get started it becomes very clear to my clients what can be moved on.

Question: What will you do with my clutter?

Answer: I am passionate about recycling and repurposing unwanted items. Where possible I assist with selling these online or donating to those in need.

Question: Do you ensure confidentiality?

Answer: Of course, I take before/after shots so that you can see the difference. I will ask my clients for a testimonial and would request permission if I use any images to accompany the post.

Question: Where are you based?

Answer: I’m based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, and will travel anywhere within the Sydney Region. An additional travel time charge may apply.

Question: What do you charge?

Answer: My charges are $70 per hour or $500 for an 8-hour day.

Question: Are you insured?

Answer: Yes, I am fully insured to work in your home.
